 Full Time Cover Supervisor  

Full-Time (Long-Term) - Secondary School - Start Date 4th /5th November 2024 Hounslow, TW5

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:20 AM - 3:30 PM

Duration: Ongoing, Long-Term Contract

We are seeking a  experienced ,skilled and committed Cover Supervisor to join our client's community secondary school on a full-time basis, supporting students aged 11-16. This is an ideal role for candidates with strong classroom behaviour management who are confident in leading a classroom and can ensure a productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Preplanned Lessons: Engage students in pre-set work left by their usual teacher to ensure that their learning continues effectively.

Classroom Supervision: Maintain a structured and focused environment, supporting students in staying on task and completing their assignments.

Behaviour Management: Implement the school's Behaviour for Learning Policy, encouraging high standards and addressing issues promptly using the school’s systems.

Form Registration & Routine Tasks: Undertake form registration, monitor student punctuality, and handle responsibilities of absent form tutors as required.

Lesson Procedures: Start and end lessons punctually, manage registration within the first 5 minutes, and ensure an orderly and tidy classroom environment.

Requirements:

Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage student behaviour confidently and effectively.

Strong Communication Skills: Able to clearly explain work set, giving instructions that support student understanding.

Proactive & Dependable: Able to use initiative, ensuring smooth lesson transitions and effective lesson coverage.

Organizational Skills: Keep the classroom environment organized and conducive to learning, following school policies meticulously.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
