Classroom Assistant wanted for Secondary school. 

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Classroom Assistant to support students with personal care needs in a school setting. You’ll work alongside teachers and other staff to ensure students thrive in a safe, supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including mobility, hygiene, and feeding.
  • Support teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom.
  • Monitor and document students’ progress and behaviour.
  • Prioritise the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) or personal care.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (minimum).
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring approach.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certificate or diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • Training in manual handling and SEN support.

Working Conditions:

  • Classroom-based role within a school environment.
  • Full-time hours, with the potential for added responsibilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
