Job Duties:

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate engaging French lessons for students
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' progress
  • Foster a positive learning environment to support French language acquisition
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching resources
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings and school events as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Bachelor's degree in French or related field
  • Fluency in French language

Experience:

Proven experience teaching French to students of varying levels

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of French language and culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or French language teaching
  • Experience using technology in language teaching

Working Conditions:

The role involves working with students of all ages and abilities in a school setting. The teacher may need to work additional hours to prepare lessons and attend school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
