Food Technology Teacher SEMH
Location: East of England, Essex, Colchester
Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours
Salary: £28,000 - £50,000 per year

Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging food technology lessons to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student progress and well-being
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised education plans for students
- Provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on student progress
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Specialist knowledge in food technology
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 1 year teaching experience
- Understanding of SEMH and strategies to support students with SEMH needs
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Experience working in a SEMH school setting
- Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within a classroom setting
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Collaboration with a supportive team of educators and staff
