Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching to students across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 levels
  • Provide cover for absent teachers in primary and nursery settings
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of different student abilities and learning styles
  • Establish and maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check on Update Service
  • Proven experience working as a supply teacher in primary education

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in primary schools
  • Experience delivering lessons across different key stages

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in special education needs (SEN) or safeguarding
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible days based in Epsom and surrounding areas
  • Working hours may vary depending on school requirements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
