Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching materials
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Relevant degree in English or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong classroom management abilities

Education:

Degree in English or related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching English to students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of English language and literature
  • Ability to tailor lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Proficiency in educational technology and resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

The English Teacher role is based in Yorkshire and the Humber, North Yorkshire, Redcar. The position is temporary and requires working full-time hours. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
