We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teachers to support local Secondary Schools within Middlesbrough. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with a strong commitment to teaching and a desire to inspire students of varying abilities. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11-18.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to the school’s positive culture.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in English or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3, KS4, and KS5 preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement and well-being.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
