Protocol Education Recruitment Agency is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled teacher to inspire students and foster a love for English language and literature.
About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the English curriculum to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You will create engaging lesson plans, support students of all abilities, and help them develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Inspire students through dynamic and interactive teaching methods.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities, meetings, and training sessions.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, with a specialism in English.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
