About the Role
Protocol Education, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a committed and inspiring English Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in South Shields. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging English lessons, fostering a love for language and literature among students in a supportive and dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to KS3 and KS4 students, following the national curriculum guidelines.
  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and extra support as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with other staff to support school initiatives and participate in extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Previous experience teaching English at the secondary school level is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
