Protocol Education are working with altenative provison which provides 'bespoke' programmes to be delivered with  the purpose of preventing the exclusion on a fixed-term or permanent basis of individual or groups of children and young people.

Such programmes will not in the main form part of the core educational entitlement or take children and young people 'off-site' for extended or regular periods of time.

'Revolving door' packages are provided for children and young people for a fixed period of time with the fundamental aim of securing access to mainstream provision either through re-integration into the existing school or transition to a new school or special school.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students
  • Develop tailored teaching plans to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Implement intervention strategies for students with Special Educational Needs such as SEMH, Autism, and ADHD
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in English or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching English in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for English
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using technology for teaching and learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in Special Educational Needs
  • Experience working with students who have SEMH, Autism, or ADHD

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate meetings or events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
