Job Duties:

  • Supporting the early years teacher in delivering educational activities
  • Assisting with the supervision of young children during class and playtime
  • Helping to create a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and tidying up

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education:

A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Experience working with young children in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of early years curriculum and educational practises
  • Effective communication skills with children and adults
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Basic knowledge of child safeguarding procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
