About the Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner on a supply basis, you will provide essential support to young children in day nursery settings, helping them develop key skills, build relationships, and foster a love for learning. Your role will include assisting with play-based activities, supporting their emotional and social growth, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of engaging activities and learning opportunities for children.
- Assist with the day-to-day care of children, ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being.
- Help promote the development of social, emotional, and physical skills through creative play.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
- Collaborate with other nursery staff to provide high-quality care and education.
- Maintain positive communication with parents and staff about children’s progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
- Ability to adapt to different nursery settings and work with children of various needs and abilities.
