Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for the children
  • Observe, assess, and record each child's progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Ensure the learning environment is clean, safe, and stimulating

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Early Years Qualification or equivalent
  • DBS Check

Education:

  • Minimum of Level 3 Early Years Qualification

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid Qualification
  • Food Hygiene Certificate

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily indoors in a childcare setting
  • May involve standing for extended periods
  • Full-time hours, including some weekends and evenings
