Protocol Education are proud to be working with an OFSTED rated "OUTSTANDING" mainstream primary school based in Enfield.
The Headteacher of this mainstream primary school is looking to onboard an experienced early years practitioner to work within their nursery phase.
The nursery is part of the school and follows the normal school hours which are 08:15am to 15:30pm. An ideal candidate will need to have certain qualifications and skills as listed below.
As a Early Years Practitioner you will be:
- Looking after the health and well-being of the child, such as feeding babies and changing their nappies.
- Observing children's progress and development, and keeping a record of this to communicate with parents.
- Helping children to develop core skills, such as mathematics and literacy. This could be by reading stories and playing counting games.
- Providing a safe and enabling environment for children to learn in.
- Supporting children by implementing the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
- Taking children on trips or outings outside their usual learning environment.
- Encouraging physical activities to keep children active.
- Supporting children's mental health, fostering an environment where children find help if they need it. This may include working with other teams to prevent or solve any issues.
- Boosting life skills, such as cooking or using money, through age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting communication and social skills to help children interact with those around them.
- Helping children with their individual educational needs. Some practitioners may have specific training to cater to specific needs.
As a Early Years Practitioner you will need:
- Good communication skills.
- A commitment to helping young children learn, develop and thrive.
- Imagination and creativity.
- A cultivated sense of responsibility, and the ability to follow procedures and policies.
- Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to plan how to support the individual needs of every child within their care.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a caring nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
