Protocol Education are working with an Outstanding rated Montessori Nursery in Fishponds to appoint an Early Years Educator.

The nursery is a small private nursery offering a child led and holistic approach to education in a Montessori based environment. 

 

Start Date: September 

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-6pm

 

The nursery:

- pride themselves on their homely feel and the children take pride in the maintenance of their environment

- With a carefully selected layout and free flow throughout the building, children’s learning is self-directed. The rooms are carefully prepared to stimulate a child’s independence and intellectual development.

- Their commitment is to continue to offer authentic Montessori education and high quality of care to the children and their families in the carefully prepared environment.

- Outside space is an integral part of the building and is used to complement their philosophy of freedom of movement.

- Offer Forest School three times a week. They have noticed a huge surge in the confidence of thier children as they learn to continually risk assess, push their physical limits and connect with the world around them.

- They are passionate about their approach to outdoor education, ensuring that it forms a part of their daily curriculum. Children learn so much from being outside in nature, and they believe the benefits of an outdoor education should be accessible to all children. After the age of three each child will attend Forest School where they will continue to grow and develop their confidence in the great outdoors. Their two-year-olds may not be quite ready for the walk to the woods, but they ensure they have plenty of smaller trips out into the community. Regularly visiting the park, local bakery and shops as we build their social skills and stamina so that they are ready for those forest adventures when they turn three.  

 

The successful applicant will:

- Deal with situations calmly and sensitively

- Have the ability to effectively support children with differing needs

- Be level 2 or 3 qualified or above

- Promote inclusivity Be able to provide personal, social, welfare, emotional and behavioural support

- have previous experience as a key worker

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
