Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons for early years and foundation stage students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of young learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in early years and foundation stage education
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching in early years or foundation stage settings

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate certificate in Early Years Education
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with regular term-time hours
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher meetings as required
  • Adhere to the school's dress code and professional standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
