DT Teacher – Full-Time – Ashington

Location: Ashington, Northumberland
Contract: Full-Time, At Least One Term

Protocol Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join a secondary school in Ashington for at least one term. This full-time role offers the opportunity to deliver creative and engaging lessons, helping students develop practical skills and a passion for design.

The Role:

  • Delivering DT lessons across KS3 and KS4, including textiles, product design, and resistant materials.

  • Planning and delivering practical and theory-based sessions that meet curriculum standards.

  • Supporting students in developing technical and creative skills through hands-on projects.

  • Ensuring a safe and well-managed classroom, adhering to health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance learning outcomes and maintain high standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Proven experience delivering DT lessons in a secondary school setting.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • Adaptability, creativity, and a commitment to student progress.
