Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive drama lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets educational standards
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Organise and supervise drama productions, performances, and events
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience
  • Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related field
  • Proven experience in teaching drama to students of various ages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching drama to students of various ages

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of drama techniques and practises
  • Ability to engage and inspire students in the learning process
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Drama
  • Experience in directing or producing drama productions
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment with regular hours, term-time schedule, and occasional evening or weekend commitments for events and performances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
