Position: Drama Teacher

Full Time 8:30 - 3:30

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to start in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring drama lessons to students of varying abilities. You will play a key role in the development of our drama curriculum and will have the opportunity to direct school productions and lead extracurricular drama activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality drama lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic drama curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Direct and produce school drama productions and performances.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote the arts within the school community.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents on progress and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching drama at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4, KS5 desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of drama and theatre pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for drama and a commitment to fostering students' artistic talents.

 

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
