Job Title: Design Technology - Woodwork and Graphics

Salary:
£31,000 - £42,000 Per annum
Job Duties:
- Teach and deliver Design Technology curriculum focusing on Woodwork and Graphics
- Create engaging lesson plans and resources to facilitate student learning
- Supervise practical sessions in the workshop and provide guidance on safe tool usage
- Evaluate student progress through assessments and feedback
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Design Technology or related field
- Experience teaching Woodwork and Graphics at secondary school level
Education:
Degree in Design Technology or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Woodwork and Graphics
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of Design Technology curriculum
- Proficient in using workshop tools and graphic design software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds
- Participation in continuous professional development related to Design Technology
Working Conditions:
- Work in a school environment with classroom and workshop settings
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening events
- Interact with students, colleagues, and parents on a regular basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
