Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress to provide constructive feedback
  • Develop and implement curriculum and educational materials
  • Supervise practical workshops and assist students with their projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Design Technology or related field

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Design Technology or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Design Technology curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Proficient in using relevant technology and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience with project-based learning

Working Conditions:

  • Regular working hours with occasional evening or weekend commitments
  • Classroom and workshop environment
  • Interaction with students, parents, and colleagues

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
