Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Design Technology Teacher to join our dynamic department. The successful candidate will have a passion for design, technology, and engineering, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cover a range of design and technology disciplines, such as product design, graphics, textiles, and resistant materials.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to cater to the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity, develop problem-solving skills, and pursue their passions.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them develop their practical skills, critical thinking abilities, and understanding of design principles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the design and technology curriculum, assessment practices, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in design, technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching design technology at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current trends and developments in design and technology education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
