The Role:

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Teach engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of DT disciplines such as Product Design, Graphics, Textiles, and Resistant Materials.
  • Encourage creativity and critical thinking while supporting students to develop technical skills.
  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.
  • Foster a passion for innovation, sustainability, and design thinking.

About You:

We’re looking for a Design Technology Teacher who is:

  • Qualified: Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications in Design Technology or a related field.
  • Experienced: Demonstrated success teaching DT, with expertise in one or more areas such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, or CAD/CAM.
  • Inspiring: A creative thinker with the ability to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm in students.
  • Organised: Able to plan and deliver lessons that challenge and motivate learners.
  • Committed: Passionate about education and driven to help students achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
