About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and imaginative Classroom Assistant to join a thriving SEN setting. In this role, you will work closely with students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Complex Needs and learning disabilities, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a creative flair to incorporate art, music, drama, or other passions into the classroom to inspire and engage students.

Responsibilities: Pay rate is dependent on experience & qualifications.

Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to individual student needs.

Use creative approaches to help students access the curriculum and develop social, emotional, and academic skills.

Build positive and nurturing relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and independence.

Assist with classroom organization, resources, and behaviour management.

Work collaboratively with the wider school team, including therapists and support staff, to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

About You:

A creative individual with a background or strong interest in art, music, drama, or other expressive arts.

Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).

A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.

Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of each child.

Willingness to learn and develop new skills (training opportunities available).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
