We are seeking talented and compassionate individuals with a flair for creativity to join our team at a special needs school in Sunderland. As a support worker or teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in nurturing creativity and supporting students in a dynamic sensory environment.

  • Speech and language skills

In addition, you’ll inspire students by engaging them in subjects such as art, music, cooking, and physical education.

  • Position: Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Sunderland
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Pay: £83.85 per 6.5-hour day

Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll use your creativity to engage students in stimulating activities while providing personalized support. You will:

  • Facilitate activities like music, art, PE, and cooking to promote engagement and skill development.
  • Help improve communication and hand-eye coordination through interactive and sensory-based learning.
  • Assist with sensory integration in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers to assess students’ needs and track progress.
  • Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment aligned with the school’s values and policies.
