Are you a creative and passionate individual with a love for the arts? Do you believe in the power of creativity to inspire and transform young minds? We have an exciting opportunity for a Creative Arts Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant and diverse school community in Newham!

‍ Job Role: As a Creative Arts Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our arts curriculum. You will work closely with the Creative Arts Coordinator and classroom teachers to assist in planning and facilitating engaging and inspiring art, music, drama, and dance lessons. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help ignite a passion for the arts in our students.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A strong passion for the arts and its role in education
  • Experience or qualifications in art, music, drama, dance, or related fields
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box
  • Patience and the ability to engage and inspire young learners
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other teaching assistants

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of creative arts lessons across various disciplines, including art, music, drama, and dance.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of art supplies, musical instruments, and props for lessons and performances.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students during arts activities, ensuring their understanding and engagement.
  • Help create a stimulating and inclusive environment that encourages self-expression and fosters artistic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and performances.
  • Support the coordination and execution of school-wide artistic events, exhibitions, and performances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
