Job Duties:
- Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
- Implement pre-prepared lesson plans effectively
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a conducive learning environment
- Assist students with any questions or issues during lessons
- Report back on student behaviour and progress to the appropriate staff
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
No formal teaching qualification is required, but experience working with children or young people is desirable. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and basic educational principles is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Additional qualifications in education or child development
- First aid training
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a school environment, following the school term calendar. The Cover Supervisor may need to adapt to different classroom settings and student groups. The role requires the ability to maintain a professional demeanour and handle challenging situations effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
