£89.37 - £95 Per day

Job Description:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher. Your primary role will be to manage classroom behaviour, ensure students stay on task with pre-set work, and maintain a positive learning environment.

Job Duties:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Manage student behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
• Deliver pre-prepared work to students
• Follow the school's behaviour management policies
• Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to

Required Qualifications:

No formal qualifications required, but experience working with children or young people is desirable

Education:

GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Basic understanding of educational principles
• Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a school environment, following the school's schedule and term dates. The role may involve some flexibility in terms of the classes you supervise.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
