Job Description:

As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher. Your duties will include:

Job Duties:

  • Implementing pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects
  • Managing student behaviour and ensuring a safe learning environment
  • Assisting students with their work and providing general support
  • Reporting back on the day's activities to the teaching staff

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults

Education:

A minimum of GCSE level education is required for this role.

Experience:

Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education qualifications in a relevant field
  • Training in behaviour management techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
