Your Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Plan and Deliver: Design and implement core subject lessons in accordance with school policies and schemes of work in the absence of the Classroom Teacher.
- Assess and Feedback: Provide students with regular assessments and constructive feedback to foster their academic growth.
- Monitor Behaviour: assess and monitor student behaviours and take necessary action.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Learning Support Assistants to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
- Share Best Practices: Participate in departmental and staff meetings to exchange ideas and strategies and for professional development.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications: QTS and an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service.
- Knowledge and Skills: An understanding of Key Stages 3 & 4 curriculum and teaching methods, and the ability to adapt lessons according to the level and capacity of the class. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for Education and helping young people reach their full potential.
- Resilience and Positivity: A strong, positive attitude with the ability to inspire and engage students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
