Cover Supervisors Needed Across NEWCASTLE

Protocol Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Newcastle where you can step into a classroom and provide support in the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during a teacher’s absence, ensuring that students stay on task and engaged with the lesson.
- Support students in maintaining focus on their work and encourage positive behaviour throughout the lesson.
- Ensure that all students are following the teacher’s lesson plan and provide guidance where needed.
- Create a positive and productive classroom environment by managing behaviour and fostering respect and responsibility.
- Monitor student progress and ensure they are completing their work to a high standard.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student behaviour and performance during the class.
What You’ll Need:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to deal with a variety of situations.
- A flexible approach to working in a variety of subject areas and age groups.
- Experience in an educational setting or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
- An interest in pursuing a career in education or gaining further experience in a classroom setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
