Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure student engagement
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behaviour
  • Provide support to students with their learning and assist with any queries
  • Report back on student progress and any issues to the teaching staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Educated to at least A-level standard or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and behaviour effectively

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within education is advantageous
  • Knowledge of the UK education system and curriculum
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant certification
  • First Aid training certification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
