Job Duties

The Cover Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing classes when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring that students are on task and following the lesson plans provided. They will maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and support students in their learning process.

Required Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to manage a classroom effectively

Education

GCSEs in English and Mathematics or equivalent

Experience

Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Organisational abilities

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

- Teaching Assistant qualification

- First Aid certification

Working Conditions

The Cover Supervisor will work in a classroom setting within a school. The role involves standing for long periods and interacting with students and school staff. The working hours are typically during school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
