‍ Cover Supervisors Needed Across Northumberland! ‍

Protocol Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Northumberland, where you can step into a classroom and provide support in the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during a teacher’s absence, ensuring that students stay on task and engaged with the lesson.
  • Support students in maintaining focus on their work and encourage positive behaviour throughout the lesson.
  • Ensure that all students are following the teacher’s lesson plan and provide guidance where needed.
  • Create a positive and productive classroom environment by managing behaviour and fostering respect and responsibility.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure they are completing their work to a high standard.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student behaviour and performance during the class.

What You’ll Need:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to deal with a variety of situations.
  • A flexible approach to working in a variety of subject areas and age groups.
  • Experience in an educational setting or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • An interest in pursuing a career in education or gaining further experience in a classroom setting.
