About the Role:
As a Core Subject SEN/SEND Teacher, you will deliver Maths, English, or Science to young people facing a range of learning challenges, including:
- SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs)
- MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
- SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)
Your role will involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that address the individual needs of each student.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports academic progress and emotional well-being.
- Utilizing creative and holistic approaches to engage students and enhance their confidence and social skills.
- Collaborating with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive, consistent support.
Who We’re Looking For:
This role is ideal for qualified teachers who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or other relevant teaching qualifications.
- Have experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs.
- Understand safeguarding processes and are committed to the health, safety, and well-being of students.
- Are patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with the ability to inspire and engage vulnerable learners.
- Have strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Essential Requirements:
- Professional teaching qualifications (QTS/QTLS).
- Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar needs.
- Enhanced DBS (we can assist in obtaining this at cost).
- Two professional references.
- The right to work in the UK and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
