A Secondary School in Sheffield is looking for a Computer Science Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting asap and lasting for up to a year. This opportunity is open to both NQTs and Experienced Teachers. The school is looking for a Teacher who will teach in Key Stages 3 and 4 across a wide ability range.

About the school:

This is a large, welcoming Secondary academy that has been rated as “good” by OFSTED. The school caters to children aged 11 to 16. Staff that we have placed into the school have provided us with very positive feedback about it being a fun and supportive place to work. The school is exceptionally well led and has seen a big growth in its GCSE results year on year for the past five years.

About the role:

You will be teaching Information Technology to key stages and 4 including preparing pupils for their GCSE’. The successful candidate will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the UK National Curriculum. You will create innovative and imaginative lessons to increase engagement.

To be successful for this role, you will:

  • Have experience in teaching IT in a UK school or educational organisation.
  • Hold qualified Teacher Status.
  • Ideally have experience of teaching a wide age range of pupils within KS3 and KS4.
  • Have previously, demonstrably improved pupils’ attainment.
  • Be able to plan lessons.
  • Be passionate about language and the ongoing development of children.
