Job Duties:

  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with complex needs in educational settings
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans based on assessment and evaluation of needs
  • Assist in the delivery of educational programmes and activities tailored to individual requirements
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support
  • Monitor and track progress, adjusting support strategies as needed
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for individuals with complex needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in health and social care, special education, or related field
  • Understanding of complex needs and the impact on individuals' learning and development
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with diverse needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education:

Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field

Experience:

Prior experience working with individuals with complex needs in an educational or care setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practises in supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 5 qualification in health and social care, special education, or related field
  • Additional training in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in educational settings with individuals with complex needs. It may require some flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the individuals and the educational institution.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
