ROLE: Classroom Supervisor/ Cover Supervisor 

Entry Level Teaching Role – qualified teacher status is not required.

I am working with secondary schools in Newcastle who are looking for classroom supervisors to become part of their internal team.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading preplanned lessons across all the departments.
  • Managing students’ behaviour, in line with the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policy.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Pastoral responsibilities; with the possibility of owning your own form group.
  • Opportunity to take on additional responsibilities in your chosen subject / department.

Requirements:

-          Hold some experience working with young people (experience in educational settings is ideal however, other relevant experience is considered such as, youth work or coaching).

-          Have successfully graduated or be currently studying toward a degree.

-          Confident, resilient & adaptable.

-          Hold strong interpersonal skills.

-          Have a passion for teaching and supporting young people!

-          Live in or a commutable distance from Sunderland
