Class Teacher - Canvey Island

Full Time - Maternity Cover

Salary - £130-£250 a day

 

One of our lovely schools in Canvey island is looking for a confident teacher for maternity cover between Janurary and June 2025. 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • QTS required
  • School teaching experience or successful completion of a training placement
  • Awareness of English and maths initiatives.
  • A clear understanding of how young children learn and the ability to plan for effective and high-quality learning experiences.
  • The ability to comply with policies and procedures related to child protection and health and safety.
  • Currently knowledge of the curriculum.
  • To have experience of working with children with SEND and the ability to ensure every child makes good progress.
  • Manages behaviour effectively using a range of strategies, and with a clear understanding of the developmental needs of young children.
  • An understanding of the principles and practices of observation, assessment and planning.

  • Recent teaching experience in Key Stage 2.
  • Experience of team teaching.
  • Experience of Assessment for Learning in practice.
  • Experience of supporting children with SEN.
  • Good understanding of, and experience with, I.C.T.
  • Potential or actual leadership and management skills.
