Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a welcoming and progressive school in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have a passion for Chemistry and a commitment to helping students excel in the subject across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5. This is a unique opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists in an engaging and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, analytical thinking, and a love for science.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing tailored support as needed.
- Collaborate with other science department staff to develop curriculum content and ensure a cohesive learning experience.
- Guide and support students in practical experiments, promoting a safe and stimulating lab environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level, ideally including KS5.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring students.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
