Job Title: Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom
  • Assisting the lead teacher in implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of students

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualification
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with challenging behaviour

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of special educational needs practises
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher-level teaching assistant qualification
  • Additional training in behaviour management

Working Conditions:

This role will involve working in a classroom setting with students who have challenging behaviour. The work may be demanding at times, requiring patience and resilience. The candidate must be prepared to work full-time hours on a temporary basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
