Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Business Studies Teacher to join a supportive school in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to teaching and committed to helping students excel in Business Studies at KS3 and KS4, potentially KS5. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing students' understanding of the business world and inspire them to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons to students at various key stages.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages students’ curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on students' progress and adapt teaching methods to support all learners.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and work collaboratively with the department and other faculty members.
  • Support students in developing practical business skills, preparing them for further education or career paths.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Business Studies or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies at the secondary level, ideally with some experience at KS5.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
