Business/Economics Academic Mentor
Location: Hounslow
Start Date: September 2024
Hours: Full Time, 8:20 am – 3:30 pm
Setting: Mainstream Secondary School, supporting students aged 11-18 years

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support and guidance to students in Business and Economics, helping them reach their full potential.
  •  Assist classroom teachers with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment in Business and Economics subjects.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage students, fostering participation and enthusiasm in Business and Economics.
  •  Track and report on student progress, identifying areas needing additional support.
  •  Create and update learning materials and resources to enhance the educational experience in Business and Economics.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external stakeholders to support students' academic and personal development.
  •  Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and mentorship.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  •  Prior experience in teaching or mentoring in Business and Economics is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and engage students.
  •  Passion for education, commitment to student success, and a collaborative approach to working with others.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
