Position Overview:
The Business and Economics Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students at various levels. The successful candidate will inspire students to achieve their academic potential and develop a deep understanding of business and economic principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Business and Economics that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assessment: Design and implement effective assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and mutual respect.
  • Student Support: Provide additional support and guidance to students, including those who may need extra help or those who wish to extend their learning.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum developments.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share teaching resources and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching Business and Economics at the secondary school level is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of the subject matter, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal: Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Organisation: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
