About the Role
As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the biology curriculum to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, planning engaging lessons, and supporting students to achieve their full potential. You will join a supportive department that values innovation in teaching and learning and encourages professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality biology lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Engage students in hands-on experiments, projects, and interactive learning activities.
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, providing feedback that supports their academic growth.
  • Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment that promotes student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school activities.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK with a specialism in Biology or Science.
  • Proven experience teaching biology at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in the sciences.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit various learning styles.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
