Special Educational Needs / Behavioural Teaching Assistant

LOCATION: LEEDS

Start Date: Monday September 2nd 2024

I am working with a mainstream secondary school in North Leeds to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a SEN student.

The student always requires 1-1 support, with a focus on managing behaviour and encouraging engagement in learning.

You will work within a supportive special educational needs department, with opportunity for training and career progression.

At times you may be required to work with other students within mainstream classes and within the specialist provision.

The ideal candidate will hold experience working with SEMH and or SEN students, have strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills, be resilient, patient and have a passion for supporting young people.

Contract Details:

- Full time role (Monday – Friday).

- Working hours 8:30am – 3:15pm.

- Term time only – in line with the Leeds academic calendar.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
