Job Description:

We are currently seeking Behaviour Support Mentors to join our team in the East of England, specifically in Chelmsford, Essex. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will be working in the Education and Training industry on a contract basis, with full-time hours expected. The role offers a competitive salary range of £85 - £90 per day, along with additional benefits such as a £50 referral bonus.

Job Duties:

  • Provide support and guidance to students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to address behavioural issues and promote positive outcomes.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting any concerns to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish positive relationships with students to foster a supportive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and policies in education.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Work primarily within a school setting.
  • Potential for occasional off-site visits or training sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
