Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by senior staff
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with behavioural difficulties
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to address behavioural issues effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications)

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural challenges

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Training in de-escalation techniques

Working Conditions:

  • Typical school hours with occasional flexibility required
  • Working directly with students in classroom and other educational settings
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour and conflict situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
