Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Mentor to work with thriving Primary School in Swindon and other surrounding areas looking for a candidate to support pupils with complex needs.

This role will suit a candidate who is committed to working positively to provide the best learning opportunities for every child.

We are looking for someone who is able to build positive relationships with pupils and who have a range of effective, positive behaviour management skills. We can offer the successful candidate experience working in a large school with experienced, skilled staff and a supportive pastoral team.

Experience is desirebale but not essential, the right candidate should be adaptable, proactive and positive.

The successful applicant will:

  • Deal with situations calmly and sensitively
  • Be creative and ‘think outside of the box’ in their approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Be enthusiastic about pupil's academic and social and emotional needs
  • Have a supportive and encouraging attitude, to inspire trust and to motivate students
  • Be confident in liaising with other staff and parents/carers 
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
