Behaviour Support Assistant

£83.85 - £95 Per day
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in the educational setting
- Implement behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher
- Assist in creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students
- Encourage and promote positive behaviour through individual and group interventions
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies regarding student progress
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural difficulties
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural difficulties
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Training in positive behaviour support techniques
Working Conditions:
- Work within a school environment
- May involve dealing with challenging behaviour and emotional situations
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
