Behaviour Support Assistant

Salary:

£83.85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in the educational setting
  • Implement behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher
  • Assist in creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour through individual and group interventions
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural difficulties
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural difficulties

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in positive behaviour support techniques

Working Conditions:

  • Work within a school environment
  • May involve dealing with challenging behaviour and emotional situations
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
